“No More Tears”

Facilitator: Anya, a Chemical-free Consultant and creator of iheartmyhair.com

"No More Tears" that will educate mother's and their daughters on ways to enhance young girls natural beauty by becoming educated on how to properly care for their hair.  Very often the mother daughter combing experience can be tedious, painful and for some traumatic, but this workshop is to assist let you know that it doesn't have to be this way.  By finding the right product, learning about different styling techniques, and understanding the role that nutrition and the environment plays can help young girls embrace their hair types.  This workshop will create a deeper understanding of hair care and self-care as it leads to greater self-acceptance.

Anya feels that it is an absolute necessity to teach young girls to embrace the beauty of their naturally curly hair at a young age, and that learning to love their hair "as is" will foster self-confidence in these girls as they grow older.  This workshop will be fun, educational and interactive for girls and their mothers as they will learn how to say "bye" "bye" to those tears during the weekly combing sessions.
